Assistant at Cape Cod Writers Center (June 2025 - Present)
I began as an intern supporting office operations, outreach initiatives, and event planning in preparation for the Center’s annual writing conference, and was later promoted to an Assistant in recognition of my contributions. In this role, I handle administrative and communications tasks, coordinate logistics for programs and events, and manage the Center’s Instagram account to promote events, increase engagement, and support community outreach. My work helps ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office and the successful execution of a well-organized annual conference.
Mailroom Clerk/Manager at Union Express (September 2022 - May 2025)
From September 2022 to December 2023, I worked as a Mailroom Clerk in the University of Rhode Island’s student mailroom, where I communicated daily with students and staff while managing high volumes of mail and packages. This role strengthened my organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and capacity for collaboration in a busy, detail-oriented environment. In January 2024, I was promoted to a managerial position, where I oversaw the training, scheduling, and supervision of a team of 30 staff members. As a manager, I demonstrated strong leadership, reliability, and initiative by creating work schedules, planning staff events, and managing the mailroom’s social media account. In recognition of my dedication and performance, I was awarded Mailroom Staff of the Year for the 2025 academic year.
Restaurant Employee/Server at Pizza 1 Subs 2 (March 2020 - Present)
During my time at Pizza 1, I provided attentive and reliable customer service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest. I regularly communicated with customers and team members to handle orders efficiently, resolve issues, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. This role strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively under pressure, while reinforcing the importance of teamwork and professionalism in service-oriented settings.
Marketing and Outreach Intern at OpenCape Co. (May - August 2024)
During my summer as an intern with OpenCape, I collaborated with local businesses and nonprofits to plan and execute community-focused events, helping to strengthen partnerships and expand public awareness of the organization. I played a key role in increasing regional visibility and brand recognition across Cape Cod through strategic outreach, content creation, and targeted communications. In addition, I independently managed the organization’s TikTok account and co-managed Instagram, designing engaging social media content using Canva and Adobe to drive community engagement, highlight events, and share OpenCape’s mission. This experience allowed me to develop strong skills in digital marketing, event coordination, and cross-organizational collaboration while contributing to meaningful community initiatives.
